How do I provide my artwork?

COMPLETE ARTWORK IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR ORDER
Complete artwork is the most important part of your order. Complete and editable artwork ensures accurate and high quality production. Electronic art is the best method to send artwork. Please verify that all artwork includes the company name, PO # and contact name. CAMERA READY ART is clean crisp black and white art to size. Faxes are not acceptable camera-ready art. Please include location and sizing information with your order. Clean up/touch ups or redrawing will be billed at $60/hr.

ELECTRONIC ART
G. Alan Incorporated requests that all electronic files are saved as encapsulated postscript (.eps) files. Such files are generally acceptable as long as the file has been exported as an .eps file and not merely renamed as such. Deviations from our standards will result in delays to production schedule.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Convert all type to curves, paths or outlines (vector art). If this is not possible, send in screen and printer fonts used for the job to be printed.
  2. For multi-color orders, use Pantone spot colors and indicate exact PMS color numbers.
  3. If line screen or dot pattern is used, a 35-line screen must be used with percentages no less than 10% or greater than 40%. Files that include gradients or blends may need alterations for optimum printing quality.
  4. When supplying a disk, please provide a hard copy or faxed copy output for proofing purposes. On multi-color orders, please indicate color breaks.
  5. 600 DPI is the lowest resolution for a bitmap format and art should be sent to the requested imprint size. Should artwork need to be increased to fit a particular area, additional art charges may result due to the degradation of graphic when magnified.

NOTE
Microsoft office programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, etc.) are not graphics programs and are not acceptable file formats. G. Alan Incorporated can recreate or alter most formats to meet printing requirements but an art charge may be assessed and a delay in the production schedule may occur.

Need it yesterday?

G. Alan is happy to help you with rush orders. If you are working on a very tight deadline, please call and let us know so that we can do everything within our power to ensure a quick turnaround time. It’s important to remember that additional charges may be required and the complexity of your artwork may need to be limited. For all rush orders, artwork must be submitted by e-mail.

Use of Trademarks

About the Use of Trademarks on Our Site
Logos shown on products on our web site appear only to illustrate the products we offer and the variety of ways in which they can be decorated. The use of logos that are trademarks or copyrighted work of other companies are never intended to suggest that G. Alan Incorporated owns the rights to those trademarks, or that G. Alan Incorporated would make those products featuring the trademarked logos of others available to any purchaser without the permission of the owners of the trademarked or copyrighted art or copy.
Additionally, the contents of the G. Alan Incorporated web site, including, but not limited to, the arrangement and assembly, text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips and software, are copyrighted materials owned by G. Alan Incorporated. You may use our web site and its contents as a shopping resource for non-commercial use only.

About the Customer’s Right to Use Trademarks
Any customer ordering custom-imprinted merchandise from G. Alan Incorporated represents and warrants to G. Alan Incorporated that he or she has the unrestricted right and authority to use, copy and distribute each copyright, trademark, service mark, trade name, logo, statement, portrait, graphic, artwork, photograph, picture or illustration of any person or any other intellectual property in the way it is applied to promotional merchandise. Purchase of merchandise from G. Alan Incorporated in no way, shape or form grants a customer permission to reproduce logos, nor does it transfer, grant, or lease ownership of any logos or trademarks to a customer.

To use any logo a customer MUST have written permission from the registered owner of the logo or trademark, or be an authorized agent or affiliate of the registered owner of the logo. A customer may NOT use any logo in a manner that may infringe copyright laws. A customer also may NOT use any logo in a vulgar, illegal, and/or unlawful manner. G. Alan Incorporated assumes no responsibility for damages or any wrong doing that the purchaser may cause using a logo. G. Alan Incorporated shall not be held liable for the unauthorized, improper, or illegal use of any logo or trademark that is applied to promotional merchandise purchased through G. Alan Incorporated. G. Alan Incorporated will also not accept responsibility or liability for the actions of clients who have misrepresented their ownership of licenses or trademarks. G. Alan Incorporated will reserve the right to refuse orders from any customer who has violated or otherwise infringed upon the intellectual rights of others.

What are accepted file types for artwork?

Artwork is required in Adobe Illustrator high resolution .EPS or PDF format.

Do you keep artwork on file?

Yes.

What is a PMS color?

Pantone colors are a standardized global color matching system and indicate exact PMS color numbers for each color noted in the submitted artwork. When a PMS match is not available, colors will be matched as closely as possible.

Where do I send artwork?

What is the order turnaround time?

Standard turnaround time is 3-4 weeks plus transit time. The turnaround time starts after artwork and proof approval and after payment method verification.

Can orders be shipped to multiple locations?

Yes. A handling fee will apply for all drop off locations.

What are acceptable forms or payment?

We accept all major credit cards, Zelle, ACH, and CashApp. Please contact us for ACH account details. We also accept purchase orders from all verified organizations.

Can orders be canceled?

Yes, however a cancellation fee will apply and is dependent on how far we are in the process of production and the cost to return the items.

Can orders be changed?

If you need to change your order for any reason contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Will I see a proof before production begins?

Yes, an electronic proof will be sent upon request.

Will I be charged sales tax?

Yes we follow all local and state guidelines for each state we order product from.

Do you have licenses to print my College/University’s logo?

Yes, we work with all select colleges and universities for internal use products.

What is a set-up charge?

Some items have “set-up” charges. It is important to note these are NOT art charges. These are charges to create the screen, die or other necessary items to imprint your specific logo. If you ever place an exact reorder for the same item you do not have to pay the set up charge again!

Can items be returned?

Returns are not possible as items for every project are custom ordered and imprinted.

Is a deposit required to order?

Deposits on orders will be decided on a case by case basis.

What if I notice a shortage or overage upon receiving my order?

We charge you only for what you ordered. Any overage charges will be noted on your final invoice. For any shortages you will be notified and only charged for the items received.

What is the minimum quantity for placing an order?

For any custom embroidery with the exact same logo the minimum is 12 pieces. The screen printing order minimum for a 1-2 color imprint is 24 pieces, 3 color imprint and above is 48 pieces.
